Hiya, Natasha, and welcome to planDisney! You'll be arriving at
Walt Disney World Resort soon, and I'd love to be there when your little prince spies Cinderella Castle for the first time. Let's look at the current policy for taking your wee one along on theme park attractions.
I chatted with a friendly Cast Member who said the procedure for babies can vary and often depends on whether an attraction has a lap bar or restraint. He suggested you ask at each attraction's entrance to see what they advise and make your decision to ride accordingly. Ride attendants will take your baby's size and age into consideration, as well, because safety is key at Disney parks!
A quick way to see height requirements is to tap the location pin at the bottom of the
My Disney Experience mobile app. You can filter by location and choose "Attractions" from the dropdown menu at the top. Choose "Show List" to see all the rides, and tapping on a ride will show details such as size and age requirements.
My son's first ride was on
Pirates of the Caribbean at
Magic Kingdom Park. He was a little older and could sit next to me, but the lull of the water and the subdued lighting sent him right off to nap time. But he kept his trusty plastic sword ready because you must be on your guard around pirates!
Natasha, I'm sprinkling pixie dust and pirate booty so your visit this week is full of treasured memories. Please
stop by planDisney anytime!
Magic awaits,
Elaine
