Is it possible to do Hollywood Studios and Magic Kingdom in one day? If so what would be the best way to go about it?

Hello David and welcome to planDisney!

Your trip is coming up so quickly! Start throwing your sunscreen and rain ponchos into your suitcase and get ready to feel the magic at Walt Disney World Resort! With over 40 square miles of Resort to explore, you and your party have the right idea by visiting more than one Theme Park per day!  My family and I love choosing the Park Hopper Option Theme Park Ticket because we then have the freedom to "hop" between all four Theme Parks in one day if we choose to!

I think your idea of hopping from Disney's Hollywood Studios to Magic Kingdom is a fantastic one, especially if you want to be at Magic Kingdom to watch the nighttime spectacular Disney Enchantment before you head back to your Disney Resorts Collection hotel for the night.

Starting at Disney's Hollywood Studios sounds perfect, especially if you're Star Wars fans! Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge should be your first stop of the day, as the rides and attractions are so popular!  Heading to Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge during Early Theme Park Entry will hopefully put you at the beginning of the line to check out the amazing attraction Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. I just had the chance to ride this for the first time during my last trip to the Resort, and even without much knowledge of Star Wars, I was completely blown away!

For lunch, head over to Toy Story Land and grab some "Totchos" from Woody's Lunch Box! Enjoy this area of the Park before strolling down Sunset Boulevard for some more thrills at Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith and The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror!

Anytime after 2 p.m. you and your party are welcome to "hop" on over to Magic Kingdom.  You might get the chance to see the 3 o'clock Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade before you ride some classic attractions throughout the Park.

Just giving you these ideas is making me wish I was there right now! I just know you're going to have the best day with your Park Hopper Option ticket.  Make sure you've made your Theme Park Reservations for your first Park of the day, even if you want to switch these plans around.  You and your party will need both valid Park Hopper Option Theme Park Tickets as well as Theme Park Reservations to enter your first Park of the day. You do not need to make Theme Park Reservations for Parks you plan on hopping to.

    Happy Hopping, David!
