Waving hello to you, Julie!
I'm happy to see my panel pals have already given you some fabulous information for your upcoming sailing. My family is also heading to Italy this summer (although not on a magical Disney Cruise Line voyage), and we're all eager to make the most of our time in Florence and Pisa. My husband and I made a stop for an iconic "holding up Leaning Tower" photo on our honeymoon nearly 20 years ago, and we can't wait to do it again with our teens. I'm already anticipating their commentary and silly photo poses.
It's great that you've already booked a
Port Adventure for your stop in Livorno, as spots can fill up quickly.
Your selected excursion includes scenic drives, guided walking tours, time for lunch and exploring on your own, and plenty of gorgeous photo opportunities over the 10+ hour day. I recommend packing comfortable footwear for your practically perfect day under the Tuscan sun.
As indicated in the "Know Before You Go" fine print, "occasionally, the tour may run in reverse order due to overcrowding. In this case, Pisa will be visited first, followed by Florence. All times and distances are approximate, subject to traffic and overcrowding." I'd hate for you to pre-book entrance tickets to the bell tower and not be in the right place at the right time. I recommend
reaching out to a Disney Cruise Line Crew Member by phone for details specific to your booking, as there may be multiple groups scheduled during your port day. They should have guidance on busier times of year that might be affected by a reverse order tour. Once you’re onboard, you can also stop by the
Port Adventures Desk to inquire about any last-minute updates before you disembark and say, "Andiamo!" to Tuscany.
Julie, I'm sorry I don't have more detailed information to share, but I hope you'll be able to get the details sorted ahead of your visit. If we can answer any additional questions, please sail right back to planDisney and let us know.
Buon viaggio!
Amy
