Hello Obed!
Welcome to planDisney! I am a
Walt Disney World Annual Passholder myself, and even though we are coming from Indiana, if we will be making more than one trip to the Walt Disney World Resort in a year, we like to purchase an Annual Pass. In addition to visiting the parks more often, I can’t say no to a good discount on food or merchandise! Add in special Passholder exclusive events and an Annual Pass is a good value for us.
Obed, you cannot cancel an active Walt Disney World Annual Pass for a refund. Just like Theme Park Tickets, Annual Passes are non-refundable and non-transferable. If you have purchased an Annual Pass certificate, but have not yet activated it at Guest Relations, you will be assigned one of the
new Walt Disney World Annual Pass options when you activate that pass. When your Annual Pass is up for renewal, you will be also required to choose one of the new Annual Passes.
You may be able to
upgrade your current Walt Disney World Annual Pass if you were looking to move up a level more than 60 days before your Annual Pass expires. This is done on a case-by-case basis and it depends on what type of Walt Disney World Annual Pass you have, and what type you want to upgrade to. This must be done in person, and you can visit any ticket booth or Guest Relations outside a theme park, or at Disney Springs. A Cast Member will be able to talk to you about options at that time.
I hope this helps to answer your question, Obed. And please let me know if you have any additional questions, we are here to help!
Have a Magical Day!
