Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Elizabeth! My husband is a rather tall, large guy so we often look for accommodations that offer a King Bed along with an additional bed for our daughter. While these accommodations are not offered at the
Value Resorts, as the rooms that offer King Beds have a maximum occupancy of two adults and one child under the age of 2 years old, you can find accommodations in
Moderate Resorts,
Deluxe Resorts, and
Deluxe Villas.
There are a few
Walt Disney World Resort options that will accommodate your party. One of my favorite options is at
Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside, a Moderate Resort, which offers a King Bed and a Child-Size Pull Down Bed. You will love the atmosphere of Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside Resort as well as the
restaurants offering delicious Louisiana specialties, like
Boatwright’s Dining Hall, that has
menu items like Deep South Shrimp and Grits, Boatwright’s Jambalaya, and Traditional Bread Pudding. You can also spend some fun in the sun lounging at one of the
five leisure pools at this resort. Amongst the Deluxe Resorts,
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa,
Disney’s BoardWalk Inn,
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort,
Disney’s Contemporary Resort,
Disney’s Beach Club Resort and
Disney’s Yacht Club all offer a 1-King Bed with 1-Day Bed option. The
Deluxe Villa Resorts all offer a King Bed as well as a Queen Bed and often times an additional Single Pull-Down Bed in the 1-Bedroom Villas.
I hope this information helps you to find and book the Walt Disney World Resort stay that best accommodates your family. Please stop back by if we can help answer any more of your vacation questions!
