Greetings and welcome back aboard the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Camille!
I am happy you have sailed by with another great question. All your careful planning will pay off with smooth sailing as you embark on your high seas adventure! I bet you are looking forward to starting your vacation!
St. Thomas was the first port I ever cruised to, so it always will be a special place for me! I happen to believe it is one of the most beautiful stops in the Caribbean. It is a great idea to experience it both as a family and on your own as well! At each port, you are welcome to debark the ship and return as many times as you please. You just need to return to the ship prior to the all aboard time to make certain you are onboard before it sets sail again!
A great
Port Adventure in St. Thomas, that happens to be an easy walk from the ship, is the
Skyride to Paradise Point. My kids loved riding to the top of Paradise Point and I loved the view of the ship from the observation deck! There is even a small market and restaurant at the top where we enjoyed some root beer floats. This adventure was a nice way for our family to enjoy this port together. You could choose this adventure for the family and then return your pirates-in-training to the
youth clubs onboard and still have plenty of time to set out to explore St. Thomas on your own!
I hope I've steered you in the right direction, Camille! Cruise back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel if you have any additional questions as you plan your magical getaway to the
Caribbean.
"Sea" ya real soon! Angie
