Welcome aboard, Nancy! You must have a cruise with Disney Cruise Line coming up soon, or perhaps you're beginning to plan and getting ready to book a magical sailing! Either way, you're in for such a treat when you head south from Indiana to set sail with Captain Mickey and his crew!
There are all different options when it comes to choosing the right stateroom for your family, but the three main choices for families are deciding between a
Oceanview Stateroom with a Verandah,
Oceanview Stateroom (which has a porthole), or an Inside Stateroom. The only one of those categories that includes a way to open to the outside air is the verandah stateroom that will have a nice seating area on your private verandah. The portholes are simply large circular windows that have a beautiful view of the sea and the ports of call. Some staterooms include two smaller portholes. None of these open to the air. But, there are curtains so that you can close them.
Did you know that the
Inside Staterooms on the Dream and Fantasy, have Magical Portholes? While they are not real windows looking out, they broadcast a live video feed from outside the ship, so you can still catch a glimpse of where you are and the beautiful scenery. Even more magical is that these pixie-dusted portholes offer a special visit from a favorite Disney character every now and then. You may just see Tinkerbell fly by to wave hello, or another Disney friend swing by to say hi! These virtual portholes can be turned on or off as you'd like.
Have fun as you find the right stateroom for your family, and let us know if we can help with anything else as you continue to plan your cruise, Nancy!
