    Do the Port Royal Riverside Resort rooms have refrigerators? Microwaves?

    Hi Michelle,

    I stayed in a Royal Room at Port Orleans Riverside a few weeks ago. The decor in these princess-themed rooms is absolutely gorgeous. The Royal Rooms have dorm-sized refrigerators, but no microwave.

    You'll find that this is standard across all regular (non-villa, non-suite) rooms at Disney World. Currently all standard rooms at Disney World do include a small refrigerator. However, the only rooms that have microwaves are the family suites at the All Star Music and Art of Animation resorts, as well as the villa rooms (all sizes) at Saratoga Springs, Old Key West, Wilderness Lodge, Animal Kingdom Lodge, Bay Lake Tower, Grand Floridian, Beach Club and Boardwalk. The family suites and villas tend to be more pricey than standard rooms.

    If you need a microwave but don't want to spring for a suite or villa, you should know that there are microwave ovens available for guest use in the either the food court or quick service restaurant at every Disney resort. You'd be welcome to heat food there - even food not purchased at the restaurant.
