Welcome to planDisney, Nancy!
Thanks so much for stopping by with a transportation question about
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside. I love the theming of the resort - walking along the Sassagoula River and seeing the mansions of Magnolia Bend and the cottages of Alligator Bayou makes you feel like you're in rural Louisiana.
One of the things my family loves most about this resort is the proximity to
Disney Springs. We enjoy heading to the Springs to grab a cookie from
Gideon's Bakehouse, a burger from
D-Luxe Burger (the dipping sauces for fries are amazing!) and finish off with a hot fudge sundae from
Ghirardelli's. My favorite way to travel to Disney Springs from Riverside is by boat on a Sassagoula River Cruise. There's nothing like taking a leisurely ride via Disney water transportation and getting dropped off at the Marketplace dock where you're steps away from the Rainforest Café.
You can also hop on an air-conditioned Disney Bus which will transport Guests to the central Disney Springs bus stop or if you're looking to ride in style, you can ride in a
Minnie Van™ Connected by Lyft. I love that there are options to suit everyone!
No matter how you choose to get there, you’ll be exploring the sights, sounds, shops, and restaurants of Disney Springs in no time! Don’t forget to check the transportation schedules on the
My Disney Experience app - it’s a great tool to help you plan your day and make the most of your visit. Have a wonderful stay at Walt Disney World Resort and feel free to stop by
planDisney again if you have any other planning questions!
Enjoy making magical memories,
Candace
