    Our port check-in time is around 1:15pm on embarkation day out of San Diego, and I noticed that lunch closes at 2pm. Will we be able to grab food anywhere or will our room/room service be available at that time?

    Welcome aboard planDisney! I'm so glad you sailed by with your question because I love chatting about Disney Cruise Line food! 

    When I board the ship, I'm always ready to eat and am happy to share several options awaiting you!

    • If you prefer a sit-down meal where you are served, you should have time to enjoy this option if you board at 1:15 pm. As soon as you board, I recommend heading straight to the rotational dining room serving lunch. You will find this listed in the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app or just ask a Crew Member as you board. 
    • Another option is to make your way up to Cabanas (Deck 9, Aft) for a veritable smorgasbord of food choices. On embarkation day, Cabanas typically serves lunch until 3:30 pm., giving you plenty of time to enjoy lunch.
    • Finally, if you arrive and your stateroom is available, you could order Room Service, which typically begins serving once staterooms open. Most items on the menu are complimentary and you can even order a Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bar! You will find the menu in the Navigator app. Keep in mind that Room Service is suspended leading up to and during the compulsory assembly drill.
    Angie, I'm thrilled you will experience one of my favorite dining venues aboard the Disney Wonder! You are going to love Tiana's Place! The food, music and celebratory atmosphere will have you dancing in your seat. I always recommend ordering more than one dessert if you can't decide which will be your favorite. Spoiler alert: they ALL will be your favorite!
