    We are going to POR in early November. I've read our resort has the Magic Bands as of Sept 3rd. How soon before our trip would be able to customize our bands?

    Hi Rob!

    November is a wonderful time to visit the Walt Disney World parks!  The weather is much cooler, crowd levels are less, and of course Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party will begin!

    Currently, Disney's Port Orleans Resort--Riverside is participating in MagicBand testing.  Guests who are selected to participate will be alerted via email or traditional mail.  Once your reservation is complete, you can log on to My Disney Experience (MDX) on the Walt Disney World website, and there will pop up a notice to alert you that it is time to customize your MagicBands.  Typically, guests are notified 30-45 days prior to your stay that it is time to select your MagicBands.  On the left panel of the MDX page, you will see a tab that says "Customize Your MagicBands".  If you are selected for trial, clicking this will take you to the customization page, where you will be able to select your bands.
