Ahoy, Ginny!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I always love helping a fellow Georgian so thank you for sailing by with this great question! I'm excited to hEAR you'll be seeing Captain Mickey real soon!
Ginny, I'm forever stressing about cruise attire for my crew because I'm that mom that likes to coordinate each evening for pictures, so it makes it very easy when we can take advantage of the themed nights while onboard! You'll find many Guests dressed up for both the Halloween fun and Pirate Night festivities on the Halloween on the High Seas sailings. I think you'll find more dressed up than not, so I would go ahead and start planning your family's costumes and then you'll have two of your seven nights ready to go! And you'll love how your photos turn out especially if you have the opportunity to take pictures with your most beloved Disney Pals in their Halloween costumes (they are all so cute!) and in their pirate attire. These always end up being some of my favorites!
I know your crew will have a SPOOK-tacular time on the Disney Fantasy, Ginny! If you haven't already, go ahead and download the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app (it's free for Apple or Android devices) because you'll love all the features once you are aboard. It serves as your map around the ship, your daily planner (you can favorite your "must do" activities and know all operating hours), a dinner preview (menus available) and it has a texting component with the cutest Disney emojis! And the best news is that it works on the ship's Wi-Fi while your phone is in airplane mode. If you go ahead and download it now, it counts down to your vacation for you! It is really a handy tool that I know you'll enjoy using while onboard.
We are so glad you came by to "sea" us, Ginny. Please reach back out if you think of any other questions. We are always happy to help!
Nancy
