Up, up, and away, Lori! Welcome to planDisney where we love to sail above the treetops to help guests have fabulous Walt Disney World Resort visits. You arrive in a few days, and it sounds like you're planning to board the
Disney Skyliner. That's my favorite way to travel around the parks! Let's look at how the route system will work during your stay.
My family's go-to is
Disney's Pop Century Resort, so we have tons of experience using the skyliner as our mode of complimentary transportation. My husband insists on it! Once we're snug in our gondola, we take a traditional selfie and "enjoy the glide." We also use that peaceful time to plan our day, and we often place a mobile order for lunch from the skyliner. Did you know you can specify a pick-up time for
mobile food orders? It's so convenient!
No matter your final destination, the skyliner will always stop at
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort first from Pop Century. This is the skyliner hub, and all guests disembark here. Look for signs indicating the line to EPCOT or Disney's Hollywood Studios to continue your journey.
If you're going to
Disney's Hollywood Studios, that second leg will be a straight shot to the theme park with no additional stops. It's like strolling the red carpet in Tinseltown!
For a day at
EPCOT, you'll make a quick stop at Disney's Riviera Resort; you'll stay seated in your gondola while Riviera guests board. From there, you'll make a sharp turn toward EPCOT where you'll enter that park at the International Gateway entrance near the France Pavilion. It's the perfect strategy to ride
Remy's Ratatouille Adventure!
I've also used the skyliner to travel from Hollywood Studios to EPCOT. Just remember that all lines lead to the hub at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, and you'll never get lost! Friendly Cast Members are also on hand to answer questions and give directions.
My final tip is to look for signage at the skyliner stations for the day's hours of operation. The gondolas typically run about 90 minutes after the theme parks close, but I usually snap a photo to have the exact times handy. And if weather interrupts skyliner service, the resorts and parks will offer bus transportation for your convenience.
Lori, I hope your visit is one adventure after another! Please come back to
planDisney anytime.
Magic awaits,
Elaine
