Hi, Scott! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thanks for POPping by with your question! I usually find myself doing several loads of laundry while at Walt Disney World Resort. As Mary Poppins sang, "In every job that must be done, there is an element of fun. You find the fun and snap! The job's a game!" I have some tips that can help make your job at Disney's Pop Century Resort a game.
There are three
laundry rooms across the resort - at the Hippy Dippy Pool, the Bowling Pool and the Computer Pool. These laundry rooms accept only debit/credit card payments, but no worries if you need to use another form of payment. Simply head to Everything POP Shopping and Dining or to Concierge and, upon completing payment with them, they will be able to supply you with a code to key into the laundry system. While this is subject to change, it currently costs $3 per load to wash or dry laundry. The High-Efficiency (HE) type washers and dryers offer quick cycles to reduce wash time and have an increased capacity for larger items. I usually bring HE washing pods with me, but if you prefer, there are vending machines in each laundry room that offer detergent and fabric softener. These single serving containers usually cost around $1 each.
Now for the game part of your job! The washing machines and dryers can alert you when your load is complete or, during busy times of day, when a machine is available! Simply sign on to LaundryView.com/disneyworld to read more about this program and how to program your alerts. When you click on a resort and choose which laundry room to view, the system will even let you click on a specific machine to see how many minutes remain in its cycle. Alert to the guest using washing machines 1, 2, and 3 at the Bowling Pool - your laundry is clean!
Thanks again for stopping by and please let us know if you have any other questions!
