Do the pools at PoFQ and POR have slides? Can you use the pools at POFQ if staying at POR? How close (walking time and distance) are the Royal Rooms to the main bus hub, River Mill, Sassagoula Floatworks, the pools?

Hi there, Nicholas! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! We appreciate you taking the time to reach back out and allow us to help you plan another Walt Disney World Resort vacation!

Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside and Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter are two connected Disney Resort hotels that are both themed after the various parts of Louisiana. Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside captures the rustic appeal of the lush bayous while Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter mirrors the charm of the downtown French Quarter section of New Orleans. Both Disney Resort hotels are within walking distance of each other and are connected by a short walking path that follows the Sassagoula River.

Both the Ol' Man Island Pool at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside and the Doubloon Lagoon Pool at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter feature fun water slides that can be enjoyed by the whole family. One of my personal favorite features of staying at either resort is the ability to use the amenities found at either Disney Resort hotel. This means that Guests staying at either of these Disney Resort hotels may use the pools found at both resorts.

The Royal Guest Rooms area at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside is an approximately ten-minute walk from the main area that houses the Riverside Mill dining hall and Fulton's General Store. They are slightly further away from the Ol' Man Island Pool but are located right next to one of the resorts five leisure pools.

Have fun continuing to plan for your next trip to Walt Disney World Resort! Please let us know if we can answer any other questions for you!
