Hi is the pool at Pop Century heated in December - also is the water parks pools heated? Thanks

    John,

    Thanks for your question!

So the pools at all of the Walt Disney World resort hotels are heated, including the pools at Disney's Pop Century Resort. I love that you have options when it come to your resort pool. With kids it is always fun to go to the main resort pool, the Hippy Dippy Pool. But when it is just myself with my wife, we prefer to go to the Bowling or Computer pool for a slightly quieter setting.

Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park and Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park also feature heated pools.

I will point out that while they do heat the pools, we are not talking about hot tub temperatures. I have visited in December where the heating of the pool and the outside weather were a perfect match for a day relaxing at the resort. I have, however, been there when it was still too cool out for the heated pool to be enough for us to consider a day of swimming. Be prepared with a backup activity, just in case.

On a related note, did you know that in the evenings they will often play Disney movies poolside? When you check in to your resort, ask about the Movies Under the Stars schedule. The family-friendly schedule will feature some of your animated Disney favorites, and it can be fun to grab a treat from the Everything POP Shopping & Dining food court and then head over to enjoy a more relaxed evening!

    Have a Magical Vacation!
