Hi Karen!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows is a great choice for a visit to the Walt Disney World Resort, and one my family particularly enjoys. My husband grew up in the tropics and I spent a few months teaching in American Samoa, and so we both feel at home at this resort. The tropical decor, landscaping, and even the fabric choices give it an authentic Polynesian feel.
The Deluxe Studios at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows are actually converted rooms that were originally part of the main resort. So while it technically has its own name, both resorts blend as one seamless experience. As a Guest at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows, you may use all of the amenities of
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort including the
pools, front desk, Resort Concierge, Monorail,
recreation, shopping, and
dining!
You’ll find the Oasis Pool closest to the buildings that house the Deluxe Studio Villas. This pool is a bit quieter than the main pool but features shaded areas, lush landscaping, and cushioned lounge chairs. The
Oasis Bar & Grill is located at this pool and serves up fish tacos and burgers as well as beverages. The main pool, known as The Lava Pool features a zero-depth entry, a water slide and a splash play area for little ones! You’ll also find the
Barefoot Pool Bar nearby to satiate your appetite and quench your thirst.
You’re sure to have a splashtastic good time at either of these lovely pools, Karen. I hope this helps with your planning. Please let me know if you have any additional questions about Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows!
Happy Planning!
