We will be at Polynesian Resort in June. Our two year old absolutely loves boats, so we upgraded to a Pool Marina view. Is there a way to increase odds that we get a marina view? We're also trying to get a connecting room. Thanks!

    Aloha, Christopher! Welcome to planDisney!

I'm so excited to hear that you'll be staying at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort when you visit this June! My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary a couple of years ago and fell in love with the tropical ambiance, the refreshing DOLE Whips from Pineapple Lanai, and the enchanting librations at Trader Sam's Grog Grotto (make sure you grab the Uh-Oa or the Polynesian Pearl!). Whatever you decide to do, you're sure to have a magical trip!

Christopher, as a fellow boat-lover, I completely understand your desire to have a marina view over a pool view for your stay. While I truly believe that you'll have an incredible view no matter where you're staying, I'd love to help you increase your chances of a view of the marina for your little one!

I would recommend making a room request with one of the wonderful Cast Members. They're a little bit like real-life fairy godparents who try to sprinkle a little extra pixie dust on every vacation! Please know that, while room requests can't be guaranteed, every Cast Member will do their best to stretch their magic wands as far as they can reach.

You can make a room request by either calling a Cast Member or speaking to one through the Chat feature on your My Disney Experience app. Personally, I enjoy using the Chat feature since I can make my request while on the go. To do this, log into your My Disney Experience app and tap the icon that looks like three stacked lines in the bottom right corner. Scroll down a bit and click Chat With Us. This is where you can make a request for both a marina view and a connecting room. Pro tip: tell the Cast Member your reservation confirmation number as well as the room you'd like to connect to for an easy, efficient way to make your request!

I would also suggest that you remind the Cast Member at the front desk of your requests when you check in. Again, please know that they will do everything they can to accommodate your requests, even though they're not guaranteed. Sometimes in the rare instances where my room requests could not be met, I found hidden gems and new favorites at my resort - true story!

While you're already using the My Disney Experience app, you may want to take some time to explore it before your trip. It's a little like holding a magic wand in your hand! My favorite reasons to use this app are to check wait times for attractions and to mobile order food while I'm on my vacation. This way, I know my meals will be ready before I even feel a rumbly in my tumbly!

I hope I was able to help you request just the right room for your family, Christopher. No matter where you end up, I'm sure your vacation will be nothing short of magical. If you have any other questions, please feel free to visit us again or ask me a question directly. After all - you've got a friend in me!

    See ya real soon!
