Aloha, Michelle, and welcome to the planDisney 'ohana!
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort is one of my favorite resorts to visit - the lush, tropical foliage, the sounds of the trickling waterfalls, and the smells of the islands magically transport me every time I step into the lobby of this Disney Deluxe Resort.
This resort is also home to a host of unique
recreation activities and
dining locations, including one of my favorite meals, the Best Friends Breakfast featuring Lilo and Stitch at
'Ohana! In the past, Guests of Disney's Polynesian Village Resort have been able to participate in hula dance lessons in the resort's lobby, but after speaking with a Cast Member in the resort's recreation office, I'm sorry to say that this particular activity is not currently available. There are some other great options, though, like the
Campfires and marshmallow roastings and
Movies Under the Stars which generally take place several nights per week at the resort. Keep in mind that recreation activities are always subject to change, so you can always stop by the front desk when you are visiting and confirm the recreation schedule for the day!
If you do find yourself visiting this resort, I definitely recommend stopping by
Trader Sam's for a libation (try the HippopotoMai-Tai if you can say it without getting tongue twisted!) and enjoy the tropical ambiance all around you - you might even find yourself doing your own hula dancing without the lessons as you bask in the island vibes! If you stick around long enough, you can even enjoy
Happily Ever After from the resort or catch some great views riding the
Disney Monorail after your visit!
Michelle, I hope this helps you to enjoy some time at the Polynesian! If you have any other questions before your visit, feel free to come back and ask us again! At
planDisney, we're family - and family means no question gets left behind!
Mahalo,
Alison
