Hi Joel!
You are going to love
Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows! The Deluxe Studios are super convenient for with a split bathroom design, making it easier for everyone to get ready in the mornings. We also love the theming at this resort, and it offers some of our favorite dining locations! Expert tip - plan an evening to order the Twilight Feast from room service. This is the same dinner feast served in
‘Ohana brought right to your villa! The portions are generous, so consider ordering fewer portions than you have people to feed. You can keep the leftovers in the fridge in the kitchenette to enjoy later.
If you will be staying in a Deluxe Studio at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows, you should be able to
access the Villa laundry room with your MagicBand. The laundry room is located on the first floor of the Moorea Building. There is no charge to use the washers and dryers for Guests booked in Deluxe Studios, but you will need to either purchase or provide your own detergent. There is detergent available from a vending machine in the laundry room, but I prefer to bring my own from home. Currently,
Disney lists a price of $1 for a box of powdered detergent, but know that the price may change at any time.
There is also a general laundry room available for all Guests in the building next to Rarotonga. There is a charge to use those machines, but it may be worth it if you are in a rush and there are no available machines in the Moorea laundry. Disney uses a service called Laundry View so that you can see what machines are open. However, I found it wasn’t always accurate, or I would arrive and there would be other Guests who had already started loading the machines I thought were empty. On our next stay here, I think I would pack extra clothes and plan on doing fewer loads of laundry.
I hope this helps, Joel. Laundry it seems, never takes a vacation!
