How do I use my points to stay at the Caribbean Beach resort, or port orleans or the French quarter.

    Welcome Home, Edward!

One of the reasons we felt comfortable joining Disney Vacation Club was the flexibility. Unlike traditional vacation ownership programs where you are locked into the same resort, room type, and season, with Disney Vacation Club, we could vacation where we wanted, when we wanted. While as a larger family, we typically need the space of the villas, knowing we could use our Membership to book standard rooms was an added perk. Visiting Tokyo Disneyland and Disneyland Paris are on my personal Disney bucket list!

Disney Vacation Club Members who hold a blue Membership Card, which would be those who purchased directly through Disney or became Members before March 2011, may use their Vacation Points to book stays within the Disney Collection! The Disney Collection includes standard rooms at the Walt Disney World Resort, Disneyland Resort, Tokyo Disneyland, Hong Kong Disneyland, Disneyland Paris, Disney Cruise Line, and Adventures by Disney.

You can view Points Charts for the different resorts on the Disney Vacation Club Member Website. To book one of these resorts, you will need to call Member Services. This cannot be done online. Your Vacation Points will be permanently converted to Reservation Points and used to book your stay with the Disney Collection. Before you call, do know that Disney Collection bookings at the Walt Disney World Resort are subject to a booking fee, and the Rule of Four. This means you cannot book and travel during the last four months of your Use Year. You can book for travel during your next Use Year, or travel during those months if you book before then, but you cannot book and travel during that timeframe.

If you are within those four months and hoping to use Vacation Points before they expire, you might also inquire about availability at the Disneyland Resort, where the Rule of Four does not apply.

I hope this helps answer your question, Edward. Please let me know if you have any additional questions about your Membership. I always enjoy helping out my fellow Disney Vacation Club Members!

    Wishing you Membership Magic!
