If I use points to reserve space at fort wilderness cabins and then find a room during that same time frame at one of the vacation club resorts can I use those points spent on the cabin?

Welcome to planDisney, Leonard! I love hearing those magical words “Welcome Home” when arriving for my Walt Disney World vacation. It sounds like you are planning your next vacation in Walt Disney World using your Disney Vacation Club Vacation Points and will soon be hearing those magical words yourself! The flexibility of a Disney Vacation Club Membership allows you to use your Vacation Points for stays in Disney Vacation Club Resorts or to convert your Vacation Points to Reservation Points for accommodations with the Disney Collection or Concierge Collection. It is truly a magical membership that allows you to experience a whole new world of vacation opportunities!

In order to make a reservation for The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort, you will be required to convert your Vacation Points to Reservation Points. Once your points have been converted, they cannot be returned to Vacation Points and will not be eligible for use to modify your reservation to book a Disney Vacation Club Resort stay. If the Disney Vacation Club Resort you are wanting to reserve does not currently have availability, I highly recommend that you consider using the Waitlist feature for Disney Vacation Club Resorts.

I hope that this information helps you to book your next stay in The Most Magical Place on Earth and make the most of your Disney Vacation Club Membership. Please stop back by planDisney any time we can help answer your vacation questions.
