Hi Florence,
Welcome Home and welcome to planDisney! Thanks for coming by with an excellent question about Disney Vacation Club Points. There are so many ways to use a
Disney Vacation Club Membership and one such way is on the seas. Imagine embarking on one of Disney Cruise Line's fleet of luxurious ships and setting sail for adventure!
DVC Members can use Disney Vacation Club Points for a
Disney Cruise Line cruise to several different locations around the globe. To find the Disney Cruise Line options that accept DVC Vacation Points, first log in to the Disney Vacation Club website and locate the "Destinations" tab. From here, click on Disney Cruise Line. Next, click the blue button that says "View All Points Charts" to see all sailings for 2024 and 2025. Alaska, Bahamas, Caribbean, Hawai'i & South Pacific, Transatlantic, Pacific Coast and Europe - the itineraries are incredible!
When you have chosen a sailing that piques your interest, reach out to
DVC Member Services. Your DVC Vacation Points will need to be converted to Vacation Points which can then be used to book a Disney Cruise Line Cruise. The $95 transaction fee (price is subject to change) will be applied since it is a Disney Collection Exchange.
The Rule of Four will also apply to this kind of reservation which means that within the last four months of your Use Year, you cannot both book and travel with the majority of Disney Collection exchange options so be sure to keep your Use Year in mind.
Tip: When sailing, be sure to inquire about discounts for eligible DVC Members. I was thrilled to receive discounts when I recently sailed on a magical Disney Cruise Line
Very Merrytime Cruise on the
Disney Dream with my fellow planDisney panelists for our training trip. You can check out available
offers and benefits on the DVC website.
Florence, I hope this information helps you explore cruising options with the Disney Cruise Line. Please
let me know if you have any other questions, I'm happy to help!
Welcome Home,
Candace
