Hi there Virginia, welcome to
planDisney!
I’m so happy you’ve asked a question about
Disney’s Vero Beach Resort today; it’s a hidden gem that’s well-loved by my family. My daughters keep asking when we can return - I hope it will be soon! Let’s hop to your question since you’ll be enjoying the Atlantic Treasure Coast’s shore in no time.
I have great news for you; while the
beach at Disney’s Vero Beach Resort was closed by Indian River County at the beginning of March, the beach is fully open and enjoyed by Guests! I highly recommend heading to Tide's Water Sports and renting a kayak, boogie board or other water sports gear. I love paddling out on the water and seeing the shore from a different perspective!
Guests interested in discovering more about
turtle conservation can experience my preferred sandy pastime by heading to the beach at 7:00 AM daily. There, they'll have the opportunity to rendezvous with members of the Disney Conservation Team Wildlife and accompany them on a coastline stroll in search of turtle nests. Vero Beach is one of the prime nesting sites for Loggerhead, Green, and Leatherback turtles. The knowledgeable Cast Members are happy to answer any questions regarding turtles and their nesting period, spanning from March through September.
Virginia, I hope this information is helpful. I wish you the most relaxing time at Disney's Vero Beach Resort!
Just keep swimming,
Candace
