POFQ or CS? We like the look of pool, food options and amenities at CS better but no preferred rooms available. My daughter uses a wheelchair so we need to be close to everything. I’m afraid our room may be far and know I won’t have that worry at POFQ

    Hiya, Shannon!

The struggle is real when you are trying to choose where to stay on a Walt Disney World vacation. With so many options in the Disney Resorts Collection, there's a lot to consider.

You've picked two really amazing resorts. Disney's Coronado Springs Resort is a destination within a destination. You'll be in central Florida, but you're surrounded by very Spanish influences. The resort has some excellent dining options. Toledo gives you rooftop views while you enjoy tapas or a delicious steak dinner. And yeah, the Lost City of Cibola pool is pretty cool. But this is a sprawling resort. It can be a lot to navigate, although, with multiple bus stops, you can get decently close to most of the rooms.

I may be showing my bias here, but Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter is one of my all-time favorites. I love the smaller resort, the adorable New Orleans architecture, and the magnolia blossoms. The beignets might be enough to sell me on this resort, but having taken my dad in his wheelchair to this resort, I definitely would say this one is much easier to get around. And Doubloon Lagoon, the main pool here, is a Mardi Gras party every day.

Coronado Springs is not out of the question, and if that ends up being your ultimate choice, just plan to give yourself some extra time for travel. And keep checking back for a preferred room to become available. You can also request a section, so check the resort map for the location of the standard view rooms and see if one works better for you.

    Good luck, Shannon.
