    We have 8:55 pm reservations and fireworks begin at 8 on our night. Will we be able to have drinks in the bar and watch the fireworks before we are seated?

    Melisa,

    Unfortunately you did not mention what restaurant you were dining, so it is hard to say if the bar of the particular restaurant even has a view of a fireworks performance. But let's take an educated guess at it.

    As to arriving early, if you have an 8:55 pm reservation, it is likely that you can arrive just before fireworks start at 8:00 pm and plead your case that you were getting there early in the hopes of getting seated sooner. Of course that means if they have a table available, you would probably need to take it. Otherwise they may indicate that they will only allow guests into the bar area a certain amount of time before their reservations, but you might need to call the resort to ask directly. My guess is that you are OK up to 1 hour ahead of time, but not much more.

    As to where a bar view of fireworks is good/bad, here is the review of three of the more popular restaurants;

    • California Grill - Great view
    • Rose & Crown - Not a good view
    • 'Ohana - Not a great view
    I am glad to help with any follow-up questions.

    Have a magical vacation!
