We have a 5 pm ADR @ Whispering Canyon on the day we plan to do AK. My ? is how long will it take to get there from AK, and does it give us enough time to really see the park? Also, what do you suggest for after dinner, can you see fireworks from there etc

It's easy to get from the Animal Kingdom to the Wilderness Lodge. Just exit the park, walk over to the bus depot, and hop on the WL bus. The actual bus ride takes about 20 minutes, but factoring the walk to the bus and a possible wait time, I would leave the AK 45 minutes to an hour before your reservation.

It wouldn't be possible to do absolutely everything at the Animal Kingdom in 3/4 of a day, but you could get pretty close. Of course it depends a bit on what time you get to the park, how crowded things are, and which attractions you decide to see, but most people do feel like they get what they want to out of the AK in that amount of time. I wouldn't worry about that.

Because of the angle of the trees, the view of the Magic Kingdom fireworks is somewhat obstructed from the Wilderness Lodge. You could however, take the very pleasant boat ride over to nearby Fort Wilderness. There are lovely fireworks viewing spots there. You could also take the boat over to the Magic Kingdom for more park touring (if you have a park hopper ticket), head to Downtown Disney for some dancing, or take a nighttime dip in your resort's pool.

    Have a great time!
