Are there plenty of autograph books currently available to purchase at Disneyworld parks or the Port Orleans Resorts? According to posts from 2024, there were hardly any available to purchase at the end of July 2024 in the either the parks or the resorts.

Hi Melissa, and welcome to planDisney! My family loves meeting our favorite Disney pals and collecting their signatures, so I’d be happy to help with your question.

While I can’t say for sure how the autograph book selection will be during your trip, I recently bought one for my nephew and there were plenty to choose from. I purchased his at World of Disney in Disney Springs, which has the largest selection of Disney merchandise on property. That’s likely your best bet, along with the main gift shops in each theme park, like the Emporium at Magic Kingdom and Creations Shop at EPCOT. My favorite autograph books are the ones that have both signature pages and clear sleeves for printed photos. My nephew loves to flip through his book and see the signatures he collected and the corresponding photo with him and the character!

Now, let’s make sure you don’t miss any Disney pals while you’re at the Most Magical Place on Earth. There’s an easy way to check who’s meeting in each theme park on any given day. Just open the My Disney Experience app, press the location icon at the bottom of the screen (looks like an upside-down teardrop), and scroll through the icons at the top until you see Characters. Once you press Characters, you can filter by location to see all of the Disney pals meeting that day in a certain theme park. I like to press Show List towards the bottom right to scroll through the available characters. Keep in mind that this will only show who’s available for the rest of the day, so don’t worry if nothing shows up if you’re checking after regular park hours.

My family also loves booking a character meal during our vacation because it’s an easy way to meet several Disney pals and get their autographs in a more relaxed setting. It also gives my nephew time to warm up and see other kids interacting with the characters before it’s his turn. Two of our favorite character meals are breakfast at Topolino’s Terrace at Riviera Resort (note that dinner here isn’t a character meal) and lunch at Tusker House at Animal Kingdom (they also have a character breakfast and dinner, but we love lunch for a midday break!).

Safe travels next month and I hope you have a magical holiday at Disney World! If you have any other questions, don’t hesitate to visit us again at planDisney.
