Hi Christine,
Welcome back to planDisney! I love the
Animation Experience at Conservation Station and it is a fun, relaxing way to engage artists young and old with the magic of Disney Animation. We have done this activity a few times and enjoyed the artwork we produced there as well as the chance to sit down for a bit and rest our legs.
The paper size can change depending on the character that is being featured during your visit. On a few visits, our paper was 12.5 inches x 10.5 inches, but on another visit, it was 16.5 inches x 13.5 inches. That being said, there is not a standard size that is there all the time, so I would plan for the larger option just in case. To avoid carrying too much on your trip, I saw a tip a few years ago online that suggested bringing a few empty paper towel rolls to store your pictures in, and it worked splendidly without requiring us to carry too much extra bulk in our park bag. I hope this helps you plan for your experience and keeps your art safe for the trip home.
Before heading over to Conservation Station, make sure you check the scheduled times for the Animation Experience in the
My Disney Experience app. I always give myself at least 45 minutes before the experience starts to ride the
Wildlife Express Train over to Rafiki's Planet Watch. You are better off arriving early because you can spend a few minutes petting animals and exploring the area instead of feeling rushed.
If you are worried about carrying your souvenirs around all day, you can also
rent a locker to store your art in while you roam around Animal Kingdom for the rest of the day. This is a great way to ensure that it doesn't get bent or wet.
Happy Planning,
Jenna
