It’s always a delight to see you at planDisney, Tami!
Thanks for stopping by with your question for us.
While The Crystal Palace’s buffet experience doesn’t return until September 12th, I am happy to discuss the experience of dining at Boma - Flavors of Africa. Currently, Guests are able to enjoy family-style dining at
The Crystal Palace through September 11th. When news broke that the dining experience of
Boma - Flavors of Africa would be returning to Walt Disney World Resort, I know many Guests, including myself, were absolutely ecstatic. This restaurant features all-you-care-to-enjoy buffets at both breakfast and dinner, and I have missed the South African dish,
Turkey Bobotie, so very much!
Tami, I completely understand your concern during these uncertain times. Currently,
face coverings are required in all restaurants, unless while actively eating or drinking while being stationary. Although the buffet lines at Boma - Flavors of Africa are self serve, Guests are required to wear face coverings while getting their food, and sanitizer dispensers have been placed at the front of the buffet lines for Guests to use.
While I have returned to the magic several times since Walt Disney World Resort’s phased reopening, I have made it a point to only partake in experiences I feel comfortable with, and I would recommend the same for you. Perhaps you could opt for the first reservation of the day, so you’re among the first Guests to arrive in the lines for food!
We can’t wait to welcome you back to the magic, Tami! Have an enchanting time.
Aena
