Hi Mark,
I'd love to help you with you Walt Disney World Resort travel planning! Thanks for joining us!
To reach
Epcot from Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort, board the monorail from the station in the Grand Canyon Concourse by using the escalators or elevator nestled in the corner over by The Game Station Arcade, a favorite for my children. Ride "The Highway in the Sky" for just one stop, and hop off at the Transporation & Ticket Center. Here, you will need to walk down that ramp and over to the ramp to the Epcot Line Monorail. Head on up and enjoy the 8-10 minute ride. I would plan for about a 45-minutes to one hour travel time from the door to your Disney Vacation Club Villa to Epcot to account for any crowds.
Traveling to
Magic Kingdom Park is more simple! Just hop right on the Resort Line monorail and you will ride through The Transportation & Ticket Center, Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, and then disembark at Magic Kingdom Park. Expect this journey to last about 20-minutes.
I normally prefer the 10-12 minute walk to Magic Kingdom Park along the path from this Disney Vacation Club Resort because it is direct and passes some fantastic Walt Disney World Resort landmarks. This is certainly my choice after the theme park closes for the night. Avoid the crowded monorail and take a leisurely stroll "Home."
I want to share with you a tool that I have used to help budget my travel time. OurLaughingPlace.com has a Transporation Wizzard that gives route information at travel time between Walt Disney World Resort locations and is generally accurate!
Wishing you many magical memories.
Sally
