Could you please tell me the difference between the two art classes at POFQ? Bringing grandaughters age 13 and 17 - 13 year old loves to draw.

    Hi Linda!

It's great to see you back at the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It sounds like you are planning a masterful vacation for your budding artists!

Disney's Port Orleans - French Quarter offers two different art classes for your young Picassos. Painting by the Lagoon helps the whole family create your own Disney-themed art. The instructor-led course is designed for all ages, but suits ages six and up. I've heard the artwork is easy to create and a fabulous memento of your vacation!

Painting on de' Bayou is for ages 12 and over and held in Scat Cat's Club. According to the current Recreation Calendar, it is on Wednesday evenings from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. (Remember, all times and locations are subject to change). The instructor-led class is billed as a class where your granddaughter will "walk away with a painting that [she's] proud of, whether [a] beginner, an expert or somewhere in-between!"

Linda, I also wanted to mention a class at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort where Imagineers will teach your girls the Art of Disney Animation, and once again, they will leave with their masterpieces! My fellow panelist Jason explains all the details here. I have heard nothing but good things, and plan on making this class a tradition when my littles are a bit older.

I hope this helps you sketch out your options. Please come back with any additional questions!
