Hello Darren! Welcome back to planDisney!
Your
Walt Disney World Resort vacation is coming up so soon! You and your family must be getting so excited to head to The Most Magical Place on Earth during its
50th Anniversary Celebration! While you're visiting, check out the
Disney Fab 50 Character Collection, 50 golden statues sprinkled all about the four Theme Parks! A friend of mine just posted that she's been posing just like each statue and taking a picture with it. It could be a really fun little scavenger hunt for you and your crew!
While I love all of
Disney's complimentary transportation options, I have to say the
Disney Skyliner is definitely my new favorite. Hopping aboard my (usually private) gondola and soaring above Resorts and Theme Parks is just something out of a dream. If you get the chance, definitely use the Skyliner to fly from one destination to another, like from
EPCOT to
Disney's Hollywood Studios!
When it comes to
Walt Disney World Bus Service you'll find that busses run approximately every 20 minutes between Parks, Resorts, and
Disney Springs. At the moment, there is
no direct bus transportation option from any Theme Park to Disney Springs. In most cases, your quickest route will be to walk or ride from the Theme Park you're visiting to the nearest
Disney Resorts Collection hotel and hop on a bus to Disney Springs from there. At
Magic Kingdom this might mean a short, 5-minute walk to Disney's Contemporary Resort and at
Disney's Animal Kingdom you might need to take a short bus ride to a nearby Resort such as Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge before hopping on a bus to Disney Springs.
Did you know that you can get turn-by-turn directions to anywhere within the Resort right on your
My Disney Experience mobile app? After opening the app just click the second icon from the left at the bottom of the screen, Here, you'll be able to choose your destination and click "Get Directions" to be given the quickest and easiest ways to get from point A to point B!
Have a magical, memorable vacation!
