    Can I please request a refund for a park ticket that one person in our party was unable to make the trip?

    Welcome to planDisney, Valarie Crystal.  We are glad you brought your question to us today.

    I am sorry to hear that a member of your party is no longer able to join you as planned.  Walt Disney World Resort theme park tickets are non-refundable.  However, the value of the price paid for the ticket does not expire.  Let's chat about some options for that ticket.

    • A ticket may be reassigned by the ticket's owner or the person that manages that person's My Disney Experience profile to another Guest in their Family & Friends list.  If you know someone else who may be able to use the ticket, this might be an option for you.  Keep in mind that Disney Park Pass reservations are linked to the person, not the ticket, so when reassigning the ticket to a new Guest that person will need to make a Disney Park Pass reservation.
    • The usage date for the ticket may be changed to a future date.  Look for the option to "Change Ticket" and select a new start date for the ticket.  If selecting a new date with a higher cost, the Guest is responsible for the price difference.  Tickets may be modified up until midnight ET of the day prior to the start date.
    • The value of a wholly unused but expired ticket may be applied to the purchase of a new ticket.  Once the valid usage date for the ticket has passed, it will no longer be able to be viewed in My Disney Experience.  I recommend keeping track of the purchase confirmation email.  A ticketing Cast Member will be able to look up the ticket information in the ticket holder's My Disney Experience account.
