Please help! Visiting WDW for 1st time in Oct - 3 kids - 12, 11 & 7. Have 7 day Hoppers & DDP. SO VERY CONFUSED as to where to begin choosing restaurants! Want something fun for kids along with good food. Have had suggestions of Teppan Edo

Valerie I totally understand, there are so many restaurants in Walt Disney World and it is hard to know which will be right for your family. A good place to start is right here on Disneyworld.com. You can see a list of all the restaurants if you go to Discover (top of the page in the middle) and then choose dining. Most of the restaurants have photos and a description of the food they serve, some even have the menus posted. Another great resource is www.allears.net again go to the dining pages and then select menus. I also do some research on the restaurant threads on www.disboards.com here people write their own reviews of food they've eaten at Disney.

As a starting point with the ages of your children I would suggest you choose a couple of character meals. I don't know if you have girls or boys but my families favourites are the Crystal Palace in Magic Kingdom, Garden Grill in Epcot, 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian and if you have Princess fans then they'll love a visit to Akershus Royal Banquet Hall in Epcot. Teppan Edo is a definite must for my family every trip so definitely try and book a reservation there, some other non character favourites are Sci Fi at Hollywood Studios, Kona Cafe at the Polynesian and Coral Reef in Epcot. A great thing to remember is that you'll be in Disney World so your children should be fine at any restaurant you choose.

Once you've selected your restaurants what I suggest you do is make a rough plan of where you think you'll be each day and try and choose a restaurant at the park you're visiting. The phone 407-939-3463 to make your dining reservations or use the new online system as soon as you are 90 days away. If you have any further questions about a particular restaurant please feel free to ask again, you can even ask a question to a panellist directly via their profile page under meet the Moms.
