Please help moms. Any suggestions of things to do on 4th July. Is this a good day to avoid parks and enjoy resort pool? (staying at CSR). Also can we see fireworks from Ohana?

July 4th is always one of the top two or three most crowded days at WDW every year. If you are looking to avoid the crowds, then staying out of the theme parks and spending the day at your resort pool is a fabulous idea.

My main suggestion to help you have an enjoyable time during any high-crowd time is to concentrate on activities for which you can make a firm reservation. With reserved activities, you cut way down on your wait time and eliminate fears that you will be shut-out from an experience. Things that you can reserve include:

    - The Hoop Dee Doo and Spirit of Aloha dinner shows
    - Cirque du Soleil
    - Recreation activities such as para-sailing, water-skiing, fishing excursions, and golf
    - Tours
    - Movies at the Downtown Disney AMC theater
    - Dinner or fireworks cruises

As for Ohana ... there are a very few spots within Ohana from which you might have a view of the Magic Kingdom fireworks. However, there would be no guarantee at all that you would have a table with a view. If you want to watch the fireworks from the Polynesian (great idea, by the way), my suggestion would be to plan dinner so that it ends about 30-40 minutes before the fireworks are scheduled to start. Then make your way down to the beach area at the Polynesian to enjoy the show from there. You'll be sure to have a view from there.
