Please help, planning another trip this year but I want to go when it is less crowded. We went one time for the free dining package-great price but horrible crowds. Then went right before Christmas-loved the decorations but missed half the parks/rides.

Hi, Jessica!  It's hard to predict when the crowds will be the lightest, especially with all of the wonderful promotions Walt Disney World guests are being offered right now!  We have found lighter crowds at the end of August and into the middle to end of September, but that takes you through the free dining offer.  Another good time has always been the week after Thanksgiving leading up to Christmas.

You could try early November, but the first Thursday and Friday of the month is a huge teachers' convention up here in New Jersey, and it is what they call "Jersey Week" at Walt Disney World, since so many Jersey families schedule their vacation around the days off the kids have for the convention.  If you avoid that week, November might be a good time to go, as it's just after free dining and just before the holiday rush!

I hope you find a date that works for you!
