Please help! We leave in 30 days and need to know what is the proper means of tipping mousekeepers and carriage drivers, etc. Do you tip mousekeepers daily or at the end of the week. What amt is appropriate? Thanks for your help.

    Jacalyn,

Great planning! I'm glad you are thinking ahead.

I tip Mousekeeping $1 per person, per day, so for my family of five I leave $5 daily.  I do this every day because the person cleaning your room might not be the same every day.  I want to be sure the money goes to the person that did the work, rather than - for example - leave $50 at the end of our trip and have it go to a lady who only worked that day.  This is actually a fun project for the kids, too - I give my girls Disney stickers and envelopes and they have a blast decorating one for each day of our trip.  This makes it easy for me to remember to lay out one Mousekeeping envelope each morning.

For luggage handlers, I tip similarly - $1 per bag, unless it is particularly heavy or they are exceptionally helpful.

    Have a great vacation!
