Hi Michelle,
Thank you for your question, how great you're staying at the new tree houses they look fantastic!
I always allow at least an hour to travel around Disney property especially when going to dining reservations but I do like to be over cautious. Journey times to the parks will take between 10 and 20 minutes from Saratoga Springs Resort and then you need to allow an additional 20 minutes incase you need to wait for the bus to arrive. It can also take time to actually find the restaurant once you reach your destination, all of which adds up.
To get from SSR to the Contemporary you will need to catch a Magic Kingdom bus, this journey will take about 12 minutes plus waiting time. You will then need to either walk to the Contemporary or catch the monorail so add on an additional 15 minutes. The Boardwalk is slightly trickier to get to, either catch a bus to Disney's Hollywood Studios and then use the boat to get to the Boardwalk or probably a quicker way is to go to Downtown Disney, which is very close to SSR, and catch a bus to a Boardwalk Resort such as the Yacht Club.
A good planning tool is the Transport Wizard found at the bottom of the home page of the website
www.ourlaughingplace.com Here you can enter 2 places on Disney property and it will tell you the best way to get there and roughly how long the journey will take!
Hope that helps and if you do arrive early at a Resort use to time to explore it and check out where you'd like to stay next trip,
Jo
