Hi could you please explain how the memory maker works as regards the photos taken on rides? How does it know? Hope that makes sense Joe

Hey there!  Hi there!  Ho there, Joe!

You are as welcome as can be at the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  It is always so exciting to hear when a fellow Mouseketeer will be visiting the house of mouse!

One of my top Walt Disney World Resort tips is taking advantage of all of the unique PhotoPass opportunities throughout the parks and purchasing Memory Maker photo downloads.  It is the best way to capture every magical moment of your visit!  The photos from the rides and attractions are some of my favorite.  The determination on my children's faces as they battle the Evil Emperor Zurg on Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin always makes for a great picture!

Many attractions, like Test Track and Splash Mountain, will capture guest photos during the ride and then display them at the exit.  Simply find your photo and scan your MagicBand, Disney PhotoPass card, theme park ticket or annual pass under your photo to capture it.  Some attractions, like Frozen Ever After and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, sprinkle a little pixie dust and capture a PhotoPass photo when you wear a MagicBand on the ride.  Your photos will then magically appear in your Memory Maker downloadable photos!

Snap back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel if you have any additional questions before your visit!

    See ya real soon!  Angie
