Can you please explain the gratuities to me - Do they charge us automatically on the first day for our room host, or are ALL gratuities optional? If we wanted to pay in advance, where online can we? Thank you!

    Ahoy Alisha!
It is great to hear from you again!  Gratuities are a way to say thank you to the wonderful crew members who will provide you with attentive and personalized service during your sailing.  The gratuity amounts suggested by the cruise line are up to you, but I think once you get onboard and see how well you are taken care of by your dining servers and stateroom host/hostess, you will find them more than reasonable.  If you don't pay them in advance by calling Disney Cruise Line at (800) 951-3532, they will be charged to your stateroom account early on in your sailing. At the end of the cruise, pre-paid vouchers and envelopes will be delivered to your stateroom so you can hand them out on the last evening to your dining server, assistant server, head server and stateroom host/hostess.
Please have a look over the Gratuity Page on the Disney Cruise Line website for the recommended amounts and let me know if you have further questions.  I know it can be somewhat confusing so please don't hesitate to ask!
    Have a magical day!
