could you please explain the fantasmic dinner packsge? Do you eat while watching the show or what I am a little confused. THANKS

The Fantasmic dinner package is a way to get guaranteed seating at the Fantasmic show with a minimal wait time. With the package, you dine in one of the regular restaurants at Disney's Hollywood Studios before the show. There are three restaurants that offer Fantasmic Dinner Packages: the Brown Derby, Mama Melrose's, and Hollywood and Vine. At dinner, you will be given a pass that allows you to bypass the waiting line for the Fantasmic show and just walk right up to reserved seating for the show. Other than dinner, there is no additional charge for the package, but you are required to leave a credit card to hold the reservation for this package, whereas if you were just dining at these restaurants regularly, you would not need to leave a credit card.

I booked a Hollywood and Vine Fantasmic Dinner package last year. It worked like a charm. We ate our meal and then we were given a voucher to bring to a special entrance gate for Fantasmic. We arrived about 30 minutes before the show (instead of the 1 to 1.5 hours recommended without the package) and walked right into a reserved seating zone.
