Chim chim cher-ee, Carly.
Thanks for stopping by planDisney today. Oh boy, your magical adventure to
Walt Disney World Resort is right around the corner. Can you believe you'll be immersed in the EARidescent excitement of the
50th Anniversary Celebration in less than three weeks? Let the final countdown commence!
I’m sorry to hear your family member won’t be joining you on your magical adventure as planned. I imagine the joy you all felt leading up to your departure is now mixed with a bit of disappointment. Perhaps you can find a special souvenir to bring back home with you to give to them since they cannot experience the magic alongside you.
I understand your conundrum with their theme park tickets and am happy to give you some guidance. You will first want to reassign the ticket to you before the original start date of the ticket. Just click on the three horizontal lines in the bottom right corner on the home screen in your
My Disney Experience Mobile App and select "Tickets & Passes" from the options that appear. Scroll through to find his ticket, and select “Reassign Ticket” underneath the ticket’s details. You should be able to reassign the ticket to your name. If you are using a browser to do this instead of the mobile app, log into your
My Disney Experience account and go to your "My Plans" page. Scroll down until you reach the "My Plans, Reservations and Tickets" section and click on "Tickets & Memory Maker." When you click on his ticket, it should present the option to reassign it to someone else.
Once the ticket is reassigned to you, you should see the option to change the date of the ticket for a future trip. If you don't know when you'll be able to make a trip to Walt Disney World Resort again, just leave the ticket linked to your My Disney Experience account and keep the ticket ID or confirmation number in a safe place. Once the scheduled date for the ticket lapses, it will disappear from view in your account, but it will still be visible to the Guest Service Cast Members. You will be able to apply the ticket's value towards the purchase of future
theme park tickets when you're ready to book another trip by calling Guest Services directly at (407) 939-1936. Of course, if it’s easier, you can reach out to a Cast Member in the existing tickets department now by calling (407) 934-7639 and explaining your situation. They will be able to offer more insight on your options and assist you with your ticket credit.
Carly, I hope everything works out splendidly. If you think of any other questions, you are more than welcome to stop by
planDisney again. Be sure to check out the
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival while you are here, and enjoy your magical vacation!
See ya real soon,
Alyssa
