Please answer each for car and bus/ferry/or monorail. We will be there for the days before Thanksgiving. How long do I give for travel (include waiting and walking) from MK to Chef Mickey's, AS Movies to MK, AS Movies to GF (1900 Fare), MK to FW Pavilion

    Hi Kelly,

How lucky to be visiting the Walt Disney World Resorts so soon!

Magic Kingdom is the one park I refuse to drive a car. While the other parks you can easily drive and park, Magic Kingdom requires you to park and then take either a ferry or monorail into the Magic Kingdom. This adds unnecessary travel time to your day.

For travel via car from All Star Movies to the Magic Kingdom, you need to allow at least 60 minutes to drive, park and take another transportation mode to the entrance.

For travel via bus from All Star Movies to the Magic Kingdom, you need about 30-45 minutes. This is waiting at your resort for a bus and then driving to the park entrance. It is a quick walk to the entrance at the bus drop off.

From Magic Kingdom to the Contemporary where Chef Mickey's is located, it is a 10-15 walk. The monorail is the same when you count wait time. I generally am at the monorail 30 minutes prior to my reservation to make sure I am not late.

From Magic Kingdom to the Grand Floridian's 1900 Park Fare, it is a 15-20 boat ride and slightly longer via monorail. I am usually at either the monorail or the boat 30 minutes prior to my reservation to make sure I am not late.

From Magic Kingdom to Fort Wilderness via boat, you will need about 45 minutes to make it to this area as the boat makes multiple stops.

If you drove from Magic Kingdom to Fort Wilderness, you would need about 30-60 minutes to grab transportation to your car and then drive to the Fort. This includes wait time for transportation to take you to your car.

Drive time to the Grand Floridian from All Star Movies is about 30 minutes. However, you will need to move your car as you can not park all day at the resort.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
    Beth
