    Hi, we play to purchase magic bands on arrival. Could you give me a few details as to whether the band comes with a charger, does the band charge by USB and does everything come with the band or do we purchase them separately?

    I have some great news for you as you plan your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort visit: your MagicBand+ will arrive in your hands fully charged and with a USB charging cable. There is nothing else to purchase to enjoy all of the benefits of this most-magical jewelry. 

    Once you have spent a little time shopping for your perfect accessory, please know that any friendly Cast Member would be happy to help you link your new tech to the My Disney Experience Mobile App. If you have more of a do-it-yourself vibe, the simple instructions on the packaging will have you ready to go in no time. Then, you can use your MagicBand+ to enter theme parks, open your Walt Disney World Resort hotel room door, check-in for a Lightning Lane Pass, pay for select food and merchandise, and more!

    Catherine, did you know that there are essentially two battery systems in a MagicBand+? One operates the essential functions of the bracelet and is not rechargeable. It is expected to last approximately 3-years, though many of my earlier versions are still working like champions! The other is the rechargeable battery, which powers all of the vibration and light-up interactions with select nighttime spectaculars and attractions. So, if your crew forgets to charge your MagicBand+ one evening, hakuna matata (it means no worries!) It should still unlock the magic of Walt Disney World Resort for you and your family.
