Ahoy there, Nancy! Welcome aboard, and thank you for sailing on in with your
Disney Cruise Line question.
With the changes in health protocols and procedures over the past couple of years at Disney Cruise Line, guest and crew safety remains a priority. While being a Platinum Member of
Disney Cruise Line's Castaway Club still has its perks, you are currently not able to arrive at any time as you may have done with previous cruises.
When you do your
online check-in, you'll be instructed to choose a
port arrival time, even if you are a platinum member. Once you arrive at the port, you'll see queues set up with the different port arrival times, and you'll head to the line for your time. For example, if your port arrival time is 12 noon, when you arrive at the port, you'll see a line with a sign for 12 o'clock. You'll wait in that line until your port arrival time. You no longer have to circle the port until your arrival time or wait in the garage, but you won't be allowed to enter the terminal until your port arrival time.
The process from there is super smooth. We arrived exactly at our port arrival time for a cruise just last week, and we walked right through our timed queue and were onboard in a matter of minutes.
I do encourage you to keep an eye on the
Know Before You Go section of the website. Things can and do change regarding these procedures, and even though your trip is right around the corner, the process may be different.
Enjoy!
Anna
