We have plans to stay at the Pop Century Resort for Thanksgiving. We've never been to Disney during the holidays. Should we eat an early breakfast in the Magic Kingdom and can the resort get us to the reservation on time?

    Hi Marsha!

You are going to love visiting Walt Disney World at Thanksgiving.

Don't worry about visiting Disney during the holidays. It can get crowded, but with a little advanced planning and some tips from the Disney Parks Moms Panel, you'll be all set.

You can definitely consider booking an Advanced Dining Reservation (ADR), such as Cinderella's Royal Table, which typically start reservation times one hour prior to the park opening. The complimentary Disney bus transportation officially begins running one hour prior to the park opening, however, there are early morning buses that sporadically run during the early morning hours. By sporadically, I mean they are not on the same cadence and frequency as the buses during normal hours. But, I have a tip to help with that. Visit Guest Services the night before your ADR and let them know you have an early morning reservation and tell them the time and the park. They will arrange for a bus to be at your resort early in the morning and with enough time to get your to your reservation.

You can also just plan to get to the park 1/2-1 hour prior to opening so you can ensure you are at the front of the line for the rope drop and will get into the park without a problem.

    Magically,
    Stacy
