Hi there, Michelle! Welcome to planDisney! We appreciate you taking the time to reach out and allowing us to help you plan your future vacation to Walt Disney World Resort!
I don’t know about you but
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is my all-time favorite Disney Resort hotel! This classic Disney Resort hotel opened in 1971 and has remained a fan favorite with good reason. The entire resort is themed after the South Pacific and can be seen in the lush foliage, gorgeous beaches, and towering structures across the resort. Additionally, Guests have access to some
delicious dining options as well. My family and I always make a point of visiting the
Kona Cafe on our arrival day to enjoy some breakfast and take in the beauty of this resort. I highly recommend the Tonga Toast if you choose to stop by for breakfast!
At this time, an official reopening date has not been released for the
monorail station at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort! That being said, it is anticipated that it may open at a similar time to the rest of the resort. I would recommend keeping an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for any updates regarding its reopening. This is where you can find the latest and greatest information regarding the Disney theme parks and resorts!
In the meantime, bus transportation to the Magic Kingdom is being provided to Guests staying at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort! This way, you can still quickly get over to your destination. If you aren’t in a rush, you can also utilize the walking trail over to either the Transportation and Ticket Center or Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and hop on the monorail at either of these locations!
I hope this information assists you in planning for your trip to Walt Disney World Resort later this year! Be sure to let us know if we can answer any other questions for you as well!
