We are planning to take our 3 and 5 year old sons to WDW for the first time this spring. How many days for the parks are best. We would like to visit MK, Hollywood Studios, AK and maybe Epcot.

    Hi Leslie,

How exciting to be planning your family's first Disney World trip. Your boys are at such a great age, where they can enjoy most of the attractions and shows, plus the magic and wonder will still be so amazing to them.

We like to spend the majority of our time at Magic Kingdom and Epcot. Magic Kingdom has the largest number of attractions and given your boys' ages, they will most likely find Magic Kingdom their favorite park.. It is full of magic and adventure and offers numerous opportunities to interact with the characters. We always plan on a minimum of two days at Magic Kingdom.

Animal Kingdom is the destination for any animal lover. There are a number of great shows and attractions here, but the highlight of this park is the opportunities to watch and learn about the animals. This park is smaller and by starting our day early we have always been able to finish this park in just one visit. Hollywood Studios is a look into the wonderful world of Hollywood and the movies. Most families will be able to enjoy this park in a day, however we often like to return here on an extra evening to have dinner and see the Fantasmic show.

Lastly, Epcot offers the largest variety of things to do. with the park split into Future World and the World Showcase. Future World features a number of lands dealing with things like the sea and the land. The World Showcase features a taste of other countries around the globe. We enjoy taking our time examining the shops and shows in each of the countries and find that we need two days.

It is always a good idea to plan one day to enjoy your resort or visit Downtown Disney. If you have added the park hopper option to your pass, you may want to return to the resort for an afternoon swim and then head out in the evening to a a different park.

Hope you have an amazing trip!
