Hi, we were planning on going between Xmas and new years. We have never been to WDW before. Our daughter is 6 years old and we are looking for resort accom. With dinner plan. Considering 4nights instead of 1 week. Any information would be an asset. Thanks

Hi Shauna, I love first vacations at the Walt Disney World Resorts and a Christmas vacation could not be more magical! Without knowing your budget, it is hard to recommend a resort for you to stay at during your vacation. My favorites in each class are all Star Music, Port Orleans Riverside, Beach Club and Polynesian. I recommend booking soon as many guests have had their plans made for a while. While I love Walt Disney World during the week between Christmas and New Years, I do not recommend it for first time guests. While magical and different, it is extremely crowded and the experience will feel rushed. You may also feel disappointed that you have long wait times and that you did not get to experience as much as you wanted. I would definitely say you need seven days during this week to vacation. I also recommend making all your Advanced Dining Reservations (ADR) now because you could find yourself without a place to eat unless you are happy with quick service meals especially on a dining plan. As for which dining plan works, the basic usually is enough for most families. Wishing you a magical vacation! Beth
